An amount of ₹504 is to be divided among three persons A, B and C in the ratio of 7 : 8 : 9, respectively. How much amount will B and C receive in total?

Given, Total amount = ₹504

Ratio of amounts of A,B,C = 7 : 8 : 9

Let the amounts of A,B,C = 7a, 8a, 9a

$$\Rightarrow$$ 7a + 8a + 9a = 504

$$\Rightarrow$$ 24a = 504

$$\Rightarrow$$ a = 21

$$\therefore\ $$Total amount of B and C = 8a + 9a = 17a = 17 x 21 = ₹357

Hence, the correct answer is Option D
