Kamal’s position from the left end in a row of boys is 31 st and Karan’s position from the right end is 29 th . After interchanging their position, Kamal's position becomes 43 rd from the left end. How many boys are there in the row?

Solution

Karan's position from right end = 29th

When they interchange their positions,

=> Karan's initial position = Kamal's final position from left end = 43rd

Thus, total boys in the row = $$(43+29)-1=72-1=71$$

=> Ans - (B)
