Question 38

In a certain code language, ‘AEBI’ is written as ‘2618’. What will be the code for ‘DFCH' in that code language?

Given,

AEBI is written as 2618,

The pattern followed here is :

  • The place value of first two alphabet is added with 1.

i.e; A = 1 ; 1 + 2 =2, E = 5; 5 + 1 = 6

  • 1 is subtracted from the place value of last two alphabets.

i.e; B = 2; 2 - 1 = 1, I = 9; 9 - 1 = 8

Similarly, DFCH will be written as 5727

i.e; D = 4; 4 + 1 = 5, F = 6, 6 + 1 = 7

i.e; C = 3; 3 - 1 = 2, H = 8; 8 - 1 = 7

Hence, Option A is correct.
