In a certain code language, “HORN” is written as “54” and “RHYM” is written as “63”. How is “PURE” written in that code language?
Solution
The letters are numbered based on their position according to the English alphabetical order. A=1 , B=2 , C=3 , D=4 and so on. The numbers are then added and one is subtracted to get the final result.
Eg :- HORN = $$(8+15+18+14)-1=55-1=54$$
RHYM = $$(18+8+25+13)-1=64-1=63$$
Similarly, PURE = $$(16+21+18+5)-1=60-1=59$$
