Question 36

By interchanging which two signs the equation will be correct?
$$13 - 9 \times 2 \div 3 + 16 = 3$$

Solution

For solving these type of questions we can go through the options.

From option B we can see that by interchanging -,+ sign we can get the answer as follows:

13+9 $$\times$$2$$ $$ $$\div$$ 3 $$ $$-16 = 13 + 18 $$\div$$ 3 $$ $$ -16

$$\Rightarrow$$ 19-16 = 3.

Other options will give theĀ fractional values which will not satisfy the given equation.
