Question 35

Which two signs need to be interchanged to make the following equation correct?
$$352 \times 8 − 330 + 125 \div 4 = 214$$

Solution

In Given Series $$352\times\ 8\ -\ 330\ +\ \frac{125}{4}=214$$

A. $$\ +\ and\ \times\ $$

$$352+8-330\times\ \frac{125}{4}=214$$

$$360-330\times\ 31.25=214$$

$$30\times\ 31.25=214$$

$$937.5=214$$

B. - and /

$$352\times\ 8-330+\frac{125}{4}=214$$

$$352\times\ \frac{8}{330}+125-4=214$$

$$\frac{2816}{330}+121=214$$

$$8.533+121=214$$

$$129.53=214$$

C.$$+\ and\ \frac{ }{ }$$

$$352\times\ 8\ -\ 330+\frac{125}{4}=214$$

$$352\times\ 8\ -\ \frac{330}{125}+4=214$$

$$2816\ -\ \frac{330}{129}=214$$

$$\frac{2486}{129}=214$$

D.$$\times\ and\ \frac{ }{ }$$

$$352\times\ 8\ -\ 330\ +\ \frac{125}{4}=214$$

$$\frac{352}{8}-330+125\times\ 4=214$$

$$44-330+500=214$$

$$-286+500=214$$

$$214=214$$

Hence LHS =RHS , Option D is the correct answer
