In a certain code language, the code for ADDRESS is 25 and the code for BOLT is 13. How will CASTE be written in the same code language?

Solution

Each letter's place values will be converted into a single digit by adding them and after that addition of these numbers will be done to obtain the code.

ADDRESS ==> 1 4 4 18 5 19 19 ==> 1 4 9 5 1 1 ==> (1+4+9+5+1+1) = 25

BOLT ==> 2 15 12 20 ==> 2 6 3 2 ==> (2+6+3+2) = 13

CASTE ==> 3 1 19 20 5 ==> 3 1 1 2 5 ==> (3+1+1+2+5) = 12
