In the following number series, two numbers have been put within brackets. Study the series carefully and select the correct alternative with respect to the series.
5, 11, 18, (25), 35, (45), 56
Solution
Each number is added by 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 respectively to get the next number.
5+6 = 11
11+7 = 18
18+8 = 26
26+9 = 35
35+10 = 45
45+11 = 56
The first number given in the bracket from the left end is wrong. Because as per the above-given logic 26 will come.
The second number given in the bracket from the left end is correct.
Hence option (d) is the correct answer.
