In a certain code, 'TABLE' is written as 'IPFEX'. How will 'SCRAP' be written as in the same code?

Solution

First and last letters are interchanged with each other with in the word. Similarly, second and second last letters are interchanged with each other with in the word. After that the place value of each of the letter is added by four to obtain the code. 

TABLE ==> ELBAT ==> (E+4) (L+4) (B+4) (A+4) (T+4) ==> IPFEX

SCRAP ==> PARCS ==> (P+4) (A+4) (R+4) (C+4) (S+4) ==> TEVGW
