Solution

The sum of the place values of the letters within the word is added by 1 to obtain the code.

PINT ==> 16+9+14+20 = 59 ==> 59+1 = 60
HOME ==> 8+15+13+5 = 41 ==> 41+1 = 42

TONE ==> 20+15+14+5 = 54 ==> 54+1 = 55

So 'TONE' will be coded as '55'.
