7 ==> $$7\times(7-1)$$ = $$7\times6$$ = 42

9 : 72

9 ==> $$9\times(9-1)$$ = $$9\times8$$ = 72

Let's assume 'y' in place of the question mark.

y ==> $$y\times(y-1) = 110$$

$$y\times(y-1) = 11\times10$$

$$y\times(y-1) = 11\times(11-1)$$

So y = 11

Hence '11' will come in place of the question mark.
