As per the above logic, options (c) and (d) can be eliminated.

In the first box, four small circle are filled. In the second box, three small circle are filled. In the third box, two small circle are filled.Similalry, in the fourth box, one small circle is filled. Each of the box has four small circle. By this option (b) can be eliminated.

Hence opton (a) is the correct answer.
