Two different positions of the same dice are shown below, the six faces of which are numbered 1 to 6. Find the number on the face opposite to the one having ‘5’.

Solution

From the first position of the dice, 1 is not opposite to 4 and 6

From the second position of the dice, 1 is not opposite to 2 and 3

$$=$$> 1 is opposite to the remaining number 5

$$\therefore\ $$1 is the number on the face opposite to the one having ‘5’

Hence, the correct answer is Option C
