Question 228

Out of the fractions $$\frac{5}{7},\frac{4}{9},\frac{6}{11},\frac{2}{5}$$ and $$\frac{3}{4}$$ what is the difference between largest and smallest fractions?

Solution

The smallest fraction amongst the ones given is $$\frac{2}{5}$$ while the largest fraction is $$\frac{3}{4}$$

Hence, the difference is $$\frac{3}{4} - \frac{2}{5} = \frac{15-8}{20} = \frac{7}{20}$$
