Question 194

The respective ratio between Kuntal’s, Shobha’s and Sunayana’s monthly income is 141 : 172 : 123. If Shobha’s annual income is 3.38,400, what is Sunayana’s annual income ? (In some cases monthly income and in some cases annual income is used.)

Solution

Let the sum of Kuntal’s, Shobha’s and Sunayana’s annual income be x

Shobha's annual income = $$ 172/(141+172+123) \times x $$ = 338400

x = $$ 436/172 \times 338400 $$

Sunayana’s annual income = $$123/436 \times x $$

= $$ 123/436 \times 436/172 \times 338400 $$

= $$ 123/172 \times 338400 $$

= 2,41,995.34.

This can be approximated to 2,42,000
