salary of Mr X (S1) is more than 40% of Mr .Y’s salary(S2) BY Rs 8000.

Solution

S1 = 40% of S2 + 8000

=> $$S1 = (\frac{40}{100} \times S2) + 8000$$

=> $$S1 = (S2 \times 40 \div 100) + 8000$$

$$\therefore$$ S1 = [S2 ★ (40 # 100)] @ 8000

=> Ans - (B)
