Two motorcycles are moving towards each other with the speeds of 38 km/hr and 88 km/hr respectively. One second before the collision what will be the distance (in metres) between the two motorcycles?

Solution

The motorcycles are moving towards each other, relative speed = $$38+88=126$$ km/hr

= $$(126\times\frac{5}{18})=35$$ m/s

Thus, one second before the collision, the distance (in metres) between the two motorcycles will be = 35
