Solution
No of unit triangles = 16
No of triangles with 2 or 3 unit triangles = 0
No of triangles with 4 unit triangles (vertex up + vertex down) = 6 + 1 = 7
No of triangles with 5,6,7,8 unit triangles = 0
No of triangles with 9 unit triangles = 3
Full triangle = 1
Total number of triangles = 27
Hence, option C is the correct answer.
