What was the difference between the number of unemployed male youths in State F in 2005 and the number of unemployed male youths in State A in 2006?

Solution

Number of unemployed male youths in State F in 2005

= $$\frac{7}{100} * 28$$ = 1.96 lakh

Number of unemployed male youths in State A in 2006

= $$\frac{7}{100} * 35$$ = 2.45 lakh

=> Required difference = (2.45 - 1.96) lakh

= 0.49 lakh = 49,000
