The pattern followed is that all the even natural numbers are multiplied.

12 $$\times 2$$ = 24

24 $$\times 4$$ = 96

96 $$\times 6$$ = 576

576 $$\times 8$$ = 4608

Similarly, 

5 $$\times 2$$ = 10

10 $$\times 4$$ = 40

40 $$\times 6$$ = 240
