What is the average number of women living in all the societies together in the year 2005?
Solution
Total number of women in 2005 in society :
A = $$\frac{40}{100} \times 250$$ = 100
B = $$\frac{55}{100} \times 320$$ = 176
C = $$\frac{55}{100} \times 280$$ = 154
D = $$\frac{60}{100} \times 210$$ = 126
E = $$\frac{45}{100} \times 220$$ = 99
=> Total = 100 + 176 + 154 + 126 + 99 = 655
$$\therefore$$ Required average = $$\frac{655}{5}$$ = 131
