What is the age (in years) of Ram?
Solution
Let Ram's age = $$x$$ years
=> Shyam's age = $$(49-x)$$ years
According to ques, => $$2x-(49-x)=8$$
=> $$2x+x=8+49$$
=> $$3x=57$$
=> $$x=\frac{57}{3}=19$$
Thus, Ram's age is 19 years.
