Solution
Rahul's present age = 15 years
Also, Rahul's age is three times the age of Sumit, => Sumit's present age = $$\frac{15}{3}=5$$ years
$$\therefore$$ Age (in years) of Sumit after 12 years = $$12+5=17$$ years
