Ankit scored 32, 45 and 49 marks in Physics, English and Philosophy respectively. The maximum marks in each subject is 50. Determine his overall percentage for the three subjects.

Solution

Total marks scored by Ankit in Physics, English and Philosophy respectively = $$32+45+49=126$$

Total aggregate marks of the three subjects = $$3\times50=150$$

$$\therefore$$ Required percentage = $$\frac{126}{150}\times100$$

= $$\frac{126}{3}\times2=84\%$$
