What is the difference between the average amount of wheat and the average amount of sugar consumed by all the Restaurants together?
Solution
Total consumption of wheat by all the restaurants
= 600 + 800 + 550 + 600 + 750 = 3300 kg
Total consumption of sugar by all the restaurants
= 600 + 550 + 350 + 600 + 500 = 2600 kg
=> Required difference = 3300 - 2600 = 700 kg
=> Required average = $$\frac{700}{5} = 140$$ kgs
