What is the average amount of rice, wheat and sugar consumed by all the restaurants ?
Solution
Total consumption of rice, wheat and sugar by restaurant :
A = 750 + 600 + 600 = 1950 kg
B = 600 + 800 + 550 = 1950 kg
C = 500 + 550 + 350 = 1400 kg
D = 700 + 600 + 600 = 1900 kg
E = 650 + 750 + 500 = 1900 kg
=> Total sum = 1950 + 1950 + 1400 + 1900 + 1900 = 9100
=> Required average = $$\frac{9100}{5} = 1820$$ kg
