If in year 2011, in college N 80% of the total students appeared in a exam, out of which 50% students passed, then how many students passed the exam ?
Solution
Number of students in college N in 2011 = 390
=> Number of students who appeared in exam =Â $$\frac{80}{100}\times390=312$$
=> Number of students who passed the exam = $$\frac{50}{100}\times312=156$$
=> Ans - (C)
