In each question below is given a statement followed by three assumptions numbered I, II and III. An assumption is something supposed or taken for granted. You have to consider the statement and the assumptions and decide which of the assumptions is implicit in the statement. Then decide which of the answers is correct.
Statement:
All literacy campaigns are focussing special attention on educating women.
Assumptions:
I. Men have already been educated.
II. If women are educated, the coming generations automatically get enlightened.
III. Literacy rate among women is lower than among men
The main statement merely talks about the campaigns having a special focus on women. Nowhere does it indicate anything about 'why' behind such a special focus. Hence, we cannot conclude as to if it is related to enlightening future generations, or whether this is done because of any comparison between men and women. Hence, all the assumptions are invalid.
