Shrikant and Vividh started a business investing amounts of Rs 1,85,000 and Rs 2,25,000 respectively. If Vividh’s share in the profit earned by them is Rs 9,000 what is the total profit earned by them together ?

Solution

Total investment by Shrikant and Vividh together is 185000 + 225000 = 410000
Vividh's share in the profits is 9000.

Hence, the total profits equal 9000 * 410000/225000 = 410 * 9000 / 225
This equals 410 * 40 = 16400
