What is the fraction which, when taken away from $$\frac{1}{2}$$ gives $$\frac{2}{3}$$ ?

Solution

Let Number be x then

$$\frac{1}{2}-x=\frac{2}{3}$$

$$\frac{1}{2}-\frac{2}{3}=x$$

$$\frac{3-4}{6}-=x$$

$$\frac{-1}{6}-=x$$

$$\frac{3-4}{6}=x$$
