The NPAT 2026 Reservation Policy NMIMS is a merit-based institution; as a deemed university, the process for seat allocation is unique from the government-run institutions of India. NMIMS does not provide a reservation quota for SC, ST, and OBC applicants for Undergraduate Programs through NPAT.

The General Category:

Most of the seats for all programs are filled from the General Merit List based solely on NPAT scores and campus preference.

The Minority Reservation:

The Gujarati Linguistic Minority is provided with a reservation under NMIMS, which is a part of the SVKM trust. The Mumbai campus will typically reserve 50% of the total number of seats in designated programs for this Minority Group.

In order to take advantage of this benefit, applicants are required to provide valid paperwork that validates their Gujarati mother tongue (e.g., a domicile certificate or an identification showing Gujarati as a mother tongue).

Physically Challenged:

A percentage of seats will be reserved for physically challenged applicants (PWD) with extended time for testing upon request at registration.
