Eligibility Criteria for NPAT 2026 :
The candidates to qualify for taking NPAT 2026 exam must ensure they meet the three primary eligibility requirements:
1. Educational Qualification - Candidates must have successfully completed or be currently enrolled in the 12th Grade.
2. Subject Requirements - Candidates must have taken Mathematics/Statistics for specific high demand programmes.

1. Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce (ASMSOC) / School of Commerce (SOC)

NPAT 2026 Age Limit
NMIMS has a maximum age policy for all undergraduate applicants. Thus, all applicants must meet the following age requirement in order to be eligible to apply to NMIMS and take NPAT 2026:
An applicant cannot be more than 25 years of age, as of the last day that applications are accepted for NPAT 2026 (specific date provided in the official NPAT 2026 handout). Although there is no stated "minimum age", to apply for admission, an applicant must have successfully completed or currently be attending 12th Grade, implying that, on average, candidates are likely to be at least 17 years of age.

Required Mandatory Subjects:

NMIMS usually wants prospective students to have passed their 10+2 or equivalent in their first attempt. Candidates who have received compartmentalized marks or candidates who have achieved their board qualification through more than one attempt may be disqualified if they are found to have made additional attempts to achieve their board qualification when their documents are verified.

Who can apply for NMIMS NPAT 2026?
Not only high school students who have finished their required schooling are eligible but also students from many different categories who may apply to NMIMS.
1.Students currently enrolled in Class XII on the first test of 12th grade Board Examination Eligibility in 2026 can apply but will need to confirm eligibility using a copy of their final transcripts when completing admissions.
2. Students who have received a Diploma award from International Baccalaureate will be considered equivalent to 10 +2 examination. Students are eligible, when an IB diploma has been successfully completed with 24 or more credits and you scored 3 subjects at Higher Level (HL) and 3 subjects at Standard Level (SL) and you possess an acceptable academic record and your diploma was awarded for work completed.
3. International Students: Candidates who completed their tenth grade (10th Standard), their eleventh grade (11th Standard), or their twelfth grade (12th Standard) from an International Schools, universities in other countries must provide an AIU certificate of equivalency to confirm eligibility for programs equivalent. This also includes those who completed open school, distance learning, or correspondence courses.
4. Open school students: Some candidates who completed their (10+2) by completing their 11th and 12th grades by attending part-time classes and/or by using distance learning or correspondence style methods are eligible to register and apply for accredited courses in accordance with UGC Guidelines.
NPAT 2026 reservation policy
The NPAT 2026 Reservation Policy NMIMS is a merit-based institution; as a deemed university, the process for seat allocation is unique from the government-run institutions of India. NMIMS does not provide a reservation quota for SC, ST, and OBC applicants for Undergraduate Programs through NPAT.
The General Category:
Most of the seats for all programs are filled from the General Merit List based solely on NPAT scores and campus preference.
The Minority Reservation:
The Gujarati Linguistic Minority is provided with a reservation under NMIMS, which is a part of the SVKM trust. The Mumbai campus will typically reserve 50% of the total number of seats in designated programs for this Minority Group.
In order to take advantage of this benefit, applicants are required to provide valid paperwork that validates their Gujarati mother tongue (e.g., a domicile certificate or an identification showing Gujarati as a mother tongue).
Physically Challenged:
A percentage of seats will be reserved for physically challenged applicants (PWD) with extended time for testing upon request at registration.
