IIMB UG Data Science 2026
IIM Bangalore has announced a new four-year, full-time residential B.Sc. (Hons.) in Data Science, starting in August 2026. This is a big change from the usual undergraduate options in India like engineering, medicine, or commerce. The course will teach students the foundations of maths, programming, AI, and data analytics, along with practical subjects such as economics, management, and business communication.
For the 2026 admissions, students will first take an Admission test on December 13, 2025. Those who qualify will be called for in-person interviews in late January 2026, and the final selection list will be released by February 28, 2026.
To apply, students must have passed Class 12 and scored at least 60% in Mathematics in both Class 10 and Class 12. Admission is based on a national entrance exam, followed by a personal interview.
