IIM Ranchi IPM Selection Criteria 2026
The Integrated Programme in Management at Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM Ranchi) is one of the most popular five-year undergraduate courses offered to students who want to transition directly from high school to a world class management experience.
The IPM program is not just an MBA program, as the IPM program is a five-year program that includes both a strong foundation of all social sciences and advanced studies in management.
IIM Ranchi IPM uses a unique multi-step selection process as well as an academic environment that differs from other IIMs.
Selection of candidates is a multi-step process at IIM Ranchi. The first part of the selection includes evaluating a candidate's academic qualification with more weight to performance in prior degrees.
First Step: Candidates are short-listed based on their IPMAT 2026 (Indore) scores. The IPMAT exam consists of two scores: Verbal portion and a Quantitative portion (MCQ and Short Answer section). Each of these two parts will be weighted equally in the calculation of the final score for short-listing.
Second Step: After the short-listing of candidates is completed, selected candidates will then be invited to a Personal Interview. Typically, the interviews will be held in the key urban centres, such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Ranchi.
Third Step: Once the candidate's interview has occurred, those who successfully completed an interview will receive an overall, weighted consolidated merit list (CML)
