IIM Bangalore UG Syllabus
Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) offers two 4-year full-time undergraduate degree programmes:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics
- B.Sc. (Hons.) in Data Science
These programmes combine liberal education, quantitative analysis, fundamentals of business, and applied learning. The programmes are designed to strike a balance between theory, application, and interdisciplinary learning in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020)

IIMB UG Entrance Exam Syllabus
The syllabus for the IIM Bangalore UG Entrance Test is taken from NCERT topics from classes X–XII and consists of English Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude with Data Interpretation, and Logical Reasoning. The exam analyses the basic knowledge of candidates in English, mathematics, data interpretation/analysis, and reasoning, which are set at the level of students entering college, rather than advanced material. Although no official syllabus PDF is available, candidates are advised to prepare using NCERT textbooks, as they comprehensively cover the topics included in the entrance test.

IIMB UG English Comprehension Syllabus 2026
The comprehension test will assess the candidates’ knowledge of reading, grammar, and vocabulary based on the English curriculum set for higher secondary (Class X–XII) as per NCERT guidelines. All of the English Comprehension content will be based solely on the NCERT English curriculum and focused on assessing comprehension, usage of language, and word knowledge.

IIMB UG Quantitative & Data Interpretation Syllabus 2026
The Quantitative and Data Interpretation section assesses the numerical ability and data handling ability as guided by the NCERT Mathematics curriculum from grade levels X–XII. It focuses on the accuracy of problem solving, logical numerical calculation, and interpretation of statistical and graphical data.

The Logical Reasoning section measures a candidate’s ability to examine patterns, interpret information in a structured manner, and solve problems using reasoning. It closely resembles general aptitude reasoning topics that may be part of high school-level logical exercises.

IIMB UG Exam Pattern 2026
The entrance examination is Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of 60 multiple-choice questions(MCQ) type, to be completed in allotted time (2 hours). The structure for exam is as follows:
- Total Time: 2 hours (120 minutes)
- Total Number of Questions: 60 MCQs
- Question Types: Online computer-based test
- Scoring Scheme: +1 for each correct answer, -1/3 for each incorrect one.

Selection Process: Admission is based on a composite score (60% entrance test score and 40% personal interview); interviews are conducted to identify the reasons for the applicant’s motivation, communication and analytical skills.
