Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts an online examination to recruit Specialist Officers (SO) for various Public Sector banks in India. 1163+ Vacancies were released for the post of SO.
The preliminary exam is of objective type with 3 sections and a composite time of 2 hours.
Every question carries equal marks (1 mark for Reasoning & Quant and 1/2 mark for English) and ¼ marks will be penalised for every wrong answer.
Candidate must clear the cut off three sections.

I.T. Officer (Scale-I): 4 year Engineering/ Technology Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation
Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I): 4 year Degree (graduation) in Agriculture/ Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ Dairy Science/ Fishery Science/ Pisciculture/ Agri. Marketing.
Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I): Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree (graduation) level.
Law Officer (Scale I): A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council.
HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I): Graduate and Two Years Full-time Post Graduate degree.
Marketing Officer (Scale I): Graduate and Two Years Full-time MMS (Marketing)/ Two Years Full-time MBA (Marketing)/ Two Years Full-time PGDBA / PGDBM/ PGPM/ PGDM with specialization in Marketing.
The basic pay of a IBPS bank SO salary is as follows:
Officer Scale I: 23700-980(7)-30560-1145(2)-32850-1310(7)-42020.
Officer Scale II: 31705-1145(1)-32850-1310(10)-45950.
Officer Scale III: 42020-1310(5)-48570-1460(2)-51490.
The basic salary will be around 23650. The in-hand salary will be around 34000/-
