Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts IBPS RRB exam for the recruitment of various posts in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). IBPS recently released its latest notification for the 2018-19 recruitment for filling up of Group-A officer posts in around 56 Regional Rural Banks.
Group-A officers are Scale-1, Scale-2 and Scale-3. The IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I exam is of two phases, objective test (preliminary & mains) and interview. The scale-II and Scale-III has only one exam and interview.
A candidate must be either -(i) a Citizen of India or(ii) a subject of Nepal or Bhutan(iii) a Tibetan Refugee (with the required conditions)(iv) a person of Indian origin in other countries (following required conditions)
Candidates should not have been born before 03.06.1988 and later than 31.05.2000 (both dates inclusive)
Candidates should not have been born before 03.06.1978 and later than 31.05.1997 (both dates inclusive)
Candidates should not have been born before 03.06.1986 and later than 31.05.1997 (both dates inclusive)
ST/SC Category: 5 years
OBC Category: 3 years
PWD Category: 10 years
Widows/Divorced Women: 9 Years
Ex-Service Men: Period of service+3years
(Age relaxation is also available for some other candidates).
The candidates has to produce the relevant proof for age relaxation while interview or document verification process.
The candidates must have got degree in any discipline from a recognised institute & should have Local Language proficiency
The IBPS RRB PO examination consists of the following sections/areas.
You can take the test in either English/Hindi Language.
Exam duration is 45 minutes. Penalty or Negative marking is 0.25 marks for every wrong answer
Exam duration is 2 hours or 120 minutes.

There will be sectional cutoff in mains exam.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I:
The basic pay of a IPBS RRB officer Scale-I is 14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700. Dearness allowance is decided based on Consumer Price Index.
The housing rent allowance is 9% or 8% or 7% depending on the place of posting.
The in-hand salary varies from Rs. 29,000 to 33,000 depending on the location of posting.
IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II:
The starting salary will around Rs. 33,000 to 39,000
IBPS RRB officer Scale-III:
The starting salary will around Rs. 38,000 to 45,000
