IMT Nagpur Shortlisting Process 2024

Candidates having high test scores in any one of the CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT are encouraged to apply for the IMT Common Admission Process. This is because having a high score in the entrance exam will maximize your chance of selection in the next round.

Below is the approximate cut-off required for IMT Nagpur:

Exceptional Work Experience Profile Based

1. Candidates in an exceptional work experience category will get a relaxation in the cut-off score
2. The candidate must have worked for at least 2 years in a BSE/NSE listed company with a turnover in the audited March 2023 balance sheet of at least INR 1000 crores or in a multinational company with a global turnover of $1 Billion or its equivalent
3. Also, the company should be such that the promoters are not related directly or indirectly to the candidate
4. Moreover, the candidate must be holding at least a junior managerial position as per the job description certified

Personal Interview Round

After getting shortlisted on the basis of  your entrance exam score and work experience, you will get a call for the personal interview round. It will be offline interview . Your soft skills such as Communication skills, your understanding of general issues etc. will get tested in this round.

The best way to prepare for this round is to start reading newspaper or some kind of magazine etc. as soon as possible. This round could prove as a maake or break round of your selection process. 

Scholarships at IMT Nagpur

IMT Nagpur makes high-quality education more accessible by providing a range of scholarships to worthy students. Below is a comprehensive summary of the available scholarships:

• Merit Scholarship: 40% of tuition is waived for students who score higher than 650 on the GMAT or who have a CAT/XAT percentile of 90 or above.
• Smt. Leela Nath Memorial Scholarship: 20% of the cost of tuition is waived for female applicants accepted into any PGDM programme.
• Programme for Tuition Fees Waiver (TFW): Shortlisted individuals might get a 100% remission of their academic costs through this competitive competition. It's crucial to remember that: Students who are awarded the TFW scholarship will still be liable for additional costs, such as those associated with the mess, the hostel, and student amenities. They are expected to cost Rs. 12,000 a month and must be paid in advance every three months, though.
  This is on condition that students are limited to selecting just one scholarship or fee waiver scheme and the decision made by the Scholarship committee will be final.
