IIM Shortlist 2021

CAT 2020 result was out and IIMs have already started sending the shortlisted candidates list. The shortlisted candidates are required to visit the website and fill the form accordingly to attend the further rounds of the respective IIMs. The IIM Shortlist 2021 is released based on the shortlisting criteria of each of the IIMs. Read on to check the IIM ABCLKI & New IIM Calls.

IIM Visakhapatnam Shortlist Update:

• Candidates who are shortlisted and interviewed by any one of the IIMs at Bangalore, Calcutta, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Indore (only for their PGP/PGPM programs), are not required to appear for the personal interview of IIMV.
• The average of their Personal Interview (PI) scores from the above IIMs will be used to derive their PI scores for IIMV.
• Candidates who are NOT shortlisted and interviewed by any of the IIMs at Bangalore, Calcutta, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Indore (only for their PGP/PGPM programs) will be required to appear for a Personal Interview (PI) to be conducted by IIMV.

IIM Shortlisting/Selection Procedure

• IIMs initially make a shortlist among CAT-Exam-takers by conducting an eligibility test based on the overall CAT cut-off and sectional cut-offs set by the institute for each category(pre-stage-1/eligibility stage)
• These shortlisted candidates obtain a composite score in stage-1 through various weighted parameters of CAT score, academics, work-ex, and diversity points(academic and gender).
• Each category(GM-OBC-EWS-ST) has a unique composite score cut-off based on the number of students called for an interview.
• Students clearing the composite score will be eligible for stage-2 where GD-WAT-PI rounds are conducted.
• A final composite score in this round based on various factors as determined by the institute will be used to determine the final selection of candidates. Students who clear the final composite score will be given offer letter by college, they can either accept or reject the offer.
• In both rounds, the composite score cut-off is different for male-female across caste categories.

• CAP has only weightage to CAT score, no weightage to other factors in the first round of shortlisting.
• Although the interview is the same for all colleges, every college issues call-letters separately. If one performs well in GD-PI-WAT rounds, you can get calls from all the colleges and choose the college you wish to join.
