IIM CAP Shortlist Process 2025
IIM admission is a three-stage process:
1. Primary Shortlisting
This stage includes selection by CAT score and eligibility under respective institute cut-off criteria. In general, this cut-off for qualifying CAT is between the 80th and 90th percentile for students belonging to the general category, while the final cut-off ranks higher.
2. WAT-GD-PI Screening
Shortlisted candidates must attend Written Ability Tests (WAT), Group Discussions (GD), and Personal Interviews (PI). This stage takes into consideration academic records, work experience, diversity factors as well.
3. Final Selection
Based on CAT scores, WAT/PI performance, academic history, work experience, and other parameters, a composite score is calculated. Now, all institutes release the final merit lists on individual bases.
