IIM Indore Admission Criteria 2023 (Key Changes): Eligibility, Admission Procedure, CAT Cut off & Other Details
Indian Institute of Management Indore(IIMI) has announced its admission criteria for the upcoming PGP batch of 2023-25 with some major changes. This year the IIM Indore has removed the Written Ability Test(WAT) from the final selection criteria, and the CAT cut-off for the SC and PWD categories was reduced to the 45 percentile from the 50 percentile in the last year. In this article, we will discuss the IIM Indore admission criteria for the PGP batch of 2023-25 and the major changes in detail.
IIM Indore Admission Criteria 2023
IIM Indore is one of the most desirable b-schools for many MBA aspirants, and also it has ranked 7th in the latest 2022 NIRF rankings. As we all know, when it comes to the admission process for the IIMs, there will be three stages in the selection process. Let us see each stage of the IIM Indore PGP admission process in detail.
Stage 1: Minimum Eligibility Criteria
All applicants who apply for the two-year PGP of IIM Indore must satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned below, along with the minimum sectional percentile and overall percentile scores in CAT 2022. Only those applicants meeting the specified criteria will be considered for Stage 2 of the selection process.

*As shown in the above table, the CAT cut-off for the ST and PwD category was reduced as compared to the last year.
Stage 2: Shortlist for Personal Interview (PI)
The students who meet the minimum eligibility criteria mentioned in stage 1 will be considered for this stage of shortlisting for Personal Interviews (PI). Last year, the Written Ability Test was also included, but the institute removed the WAT process from the admission process this year. A sufficient number of candidates for PI for each category (General, EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST and PwD) will be shortlisted using the merit list generated based on the Composite Score (CS) as which is computed as mentioned below.
Note: Z candidate, Z min, Z max for 10th Standard/ SSC Score and 12th Standard/ HSC Score are computed using the normalisation process.
Candidates short-listed for PI will be intimated in the month of January 2023. IIM Indore will conduct the admission interviews offline (in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata and Mumbai) or online mode depending on the situation. Candidates shortlisted for Personal Interview (PI) at Stage 2 will have to attend PI, failing which they will not be considered for the next stage of the selection process, i.e. Stage 3.
Stage 3: Final Selection
The candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in Stage 2 will only be considered for the final selection. A category-wise merit list will be generated based on the Final Composite Score (FCS), computed as shown below, and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly. IIM Inodre has removed the Written Ability Test Process from the selection criteria this year.
Note: Z candidate, Z min, and Z max for each component are computed using the normalisation process.
