IIM Ahmedabad Placements: The Final Placement Report for the 2024 cohort of the PGP & PGP-FABM programs at the esteemed Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) signifies another noteworthy accomplishment, continuing the institute's tradition of excellence every year. IIM Ahmedabad Placements: Key Highlights

  • 100% placement for the 2022-2024 batch across 30 cohorts.
  • Placement process spanned from February 6 to 12, 2024.
  • Firms from various sectors participated across three clusters.
  • There were 23 new recruiters participating in this year's placement drive.
  • This year, Management Consulting offers decreased by 15% compared to last year, while Niche Consulting experienced a notable increase.
  • The roles offered by conglomerates also increased by 13%.

The placement drive was conducted in two stages, namely Laterals and Finals.

Laterals Process:

  • The Laterals process targeted students with prior work experience, offering them mid-level managerial positions.
  •  A total of 28 firms participated in this stage, representing a wide array of sectors including technology, banking, finance, consulting, and analytics.
  • This stage aimed to accommodate students with professional experience, ensuring their seamless integration into managerial roles within various industries.

Finals Process:

  • In the Finals stage, firms were organized into cohorts based on their core business areas.
  • Groups of cohorts were invited to campus across different clusters, facilitating efficient interaction between students and recruiters.
  • This approach allowed for a focused engagement, enabling recruiters to tailor their offers to the specific skill sets and interests of the students.

Flexibility and Dream Applications:

  • Notably, students were granted the flexibility to pursue their desired career paths through the "dream" application system.
  • Despite having offers in hand, students could apply to firms of their choice in subsequent clusters.
  • The significant increase of 54% in dream applications compared to the previous year, with 163 applications this year, reflects the enhanced flexibility and empowerment provided to students.
  • This initiative empowered students to shape their careers according to their preferences, contributing to a more personalized and fulfilling placement experience.

The Final Placement Process for the batch 2022-24 of the Post-Graduate Programme in Food & Agribusiness Management (PGP-FABM) at IIM Ahmedabad was successfully completed on February 9th, 2024. Despite challenges in the job market, the entire batch was successfully placed in a hybrid mode, with all students set to join their respective companies between April and June 2024.
