Total Production in the year 2009 was approximate what percentage of the total sales of company A in the same year?
Solution
Production by company A in the year 2009 = 550
Production by company B in the year 2009 = $$\dfrac{11}{12}\times 550$$ = 600
Total sales in the same year by A alone = 440
Hence, the required perentage = $$\frac{400}{1150}$$ x 100 = 34.78 ≈ 35
