Solution

Cumulative speed of boat and current( in upstream)is

40km/h but speed of the boat in still water is 55km/h.

So, Speed of the current is

(55-40)$$=15$$km/h.

In downstream ,speed of the boat would be(sum of speed of boat and speed of current)

$$55+15=70km/h$$.

B is correct choice.
