Solution
Total profit of the store (rupees in ten thousands) in the given years :
= 6.5 + 11.4 + 7.5 + 4.5 + 9.5 + 11.5 + 10 + 8.5 = 69.4
$$\therefore$$ Required mean = $$\frac{69.4}{8}$$
= $$8.67 \approx 8.7$$
