A girl ran from her home towards east direction and took a left turn. Again she turned left and turned right. How many turns she did towards north and west?

Solution

Let the girl ran from point A towards east direction and reached B before she took a left turn and moved northwards to reach C. Again she turned left and travelled towards west to reach D and finally turned right and moved in north direction.

Thus, she turned towards north and west for a total of 3 times.
