Each number in the given number series equals 1.5 times the previous number.

For example, 4*1.5 = 6
6*1.5 = 9
9*1.5 = 13.5

20.25*1.5 = 30.375

Hence, the number to come next is 30.375*1.5 = 45.5625 which is option (b)
