In Common Wealth Games, six weightlifters were selected through a rigourous selection test. Their names are Atul, Bimal, Chintoo, Debu, Eshan and Fakir. Out of them Bimal, Chintoo
and Eshan were from Rural Backround and the remaining from urban background. Atul, Bimal and Debu had completed their education in English medium and all remaining in Hindi Medium. Debu and fakir had specialisation in yoga and others had specialisation in swimming.
