A shopkeeper sells a product at the rate of Rs.1386 and earns a profit of 12.5%. Find the amount which is equal to half of the cost price of the product.

Solution

Selling price = Rs. 1386 and profit % = 12.5%

=> Cost price = $$\frac{1386}{(100+12.5)}\times100$$

= $$12.32\times100=Rs.$$ $$1232$$

$$\therefore$$ Amount which is equal to half of the cost price of the product = $$\frac{1232}{2}=Rs.$$ $$616$$

=> Ans - (C)
