A steel rod of length $$ 20 \frac{3}{26} $$ is cut out from a rod of length $$ 56 \frac{1}{5} $$. What then is the remaining length of the rod?

Solution

The remaining length of the rod = $$\frac{281}{5} - \frac{523}{26} = \frac{7306 - 2615}{26 \times 5} = \frac{4691}{130} =36\frac{11}{130}$$

So , the answer would be option d)$$36\frac{11}{130}$$
