In these questions, certain symbols have been used to indicate relationships between elements as follows :
P @ Q means P is not greater than Q.
P # Q means P is not smaller than Q
P © Q means P is neither greater than Q nor smaller than Q
P $$\star$$ Q means P is neither greater than Q nor equal to Q
P $ Q means P is neither smaller than Q nor equal to Q.

In each questions, three statements showing certain relationships have been given, followed by two conclusions I and II. Assuming that the given statements are true, find out which of the two conclusions is/are definitely true:

Question 42

Statements: H * F, F # G, G © Q
Conclusions: I. Q © F
II. Q $$\star$$ F

Solution

Statements :

H < F , F $$\geq$$ G , G = Q

=> F $$\geq$$ G = Q and F > H

Conclusions :

Q = F

Q < F

Since Q $$\leq$$ F

Thus, either conclusion I or II is true.
