Two numbers have their LCM and HCF to be 693 and 11 respectively. If one number is 99, find the other number.

Solution

Let the two numbers be x and y

then $$ x \times y = LCM \times HCF $$

here x=99(given)

therefore, $$ 99 \times y =693 \times 11 $$ [given LCM=693, HCF =11]

Solving we get y=77
